:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 09The Role: Associate Editor, Agriculture & Food pricingThe Team: This is an outstanding opportunity to join the world\'s leading price reporting organization as it strengthens and grows its presence across the Agriculture & Food markets. Customers in over 150 countries look to our expertise in pricing, analytics and news to deliver greater transparency and efficiency to markets. The Agriculture & Food pricing team is a global team responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the world covering markets such as Grains, Oilseeds, Animal Feed and more.The Impact: This is an exciting opportunity to help drive S&P Global Commodity Insights Agriculture & Food price assessments across the APAC region. The Associate Editor will be responsible for market coverage and driving our existing price assessments forward.What\'s in it for you:

• Opportunities to represent S&P Global Commodity Insights at industry events, face-to-face meetings, presenting at conferences, webinars and podcasts to further develop S&P Global as a significant presence in the Agriculture & Food markets.
• The successful candidate would contribute to a fast paced, and dynamic team based in Penang that works across the Agriculture & Food markets.
• Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment opportunities across the Agriculture & Food markets.

Responsibilities:

• Leading market coverage on Agriculture & Food markets by reporting on daily physical trade activity including bids, offers and other relevant information.
• Building and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process and developing a close business relationship with market participants.
• Identifying opportunities to develop and refine methodology as well as helping launch new price assessments.
• Writing daily and weekly commentaries and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices.
• Creating news stories and multi-media coverage.
• Work closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial, analytics and news.

What We\'re Looking For

• Experience of Agriculture & Food markets.
• Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel.
• Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style, and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
• Fluent in English with excellent English writing skills and fluent in Mandarin.
• Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
• An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
• A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
• Additional language skills would be an advantage.
• Degree in Agronomics, Sciences, Journalism, Economics, Finance, Business or similar.
• Experience in price reporting or market reporting is a benefit.
• Experience in livestock is an advantage.
