Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead in mechanical design from concept to detail design, and practical implementation on site
  • Responsible for reviewing, guiding and checking design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents prepared by senior and junior engineers for the design projects.
  • Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details/ schedules for projects.
  • Conduct technical meetings with internal, other disciplines and external parties.
  • Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission. Liaison and coordination with Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects.
  • Liaison with Client/ Architects/ Structural Engineers/ Civil Engineers/System Contractors/ Civil Contractors/ QS etc to produce the electrical building services system design from concept to detail design.
  • Oversee and supervise junior engineers
  • Assist in preparation of tenders / bids.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership.
  • Willing to share knowledge and experience, and working as a team leader for the team.
  • With commercially and contractually awareness in project execution.
  • Assist technical director on project tendering, project control and delivery.
Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Master Degree or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 10 to 13 years design experience in building or infrastructure projects subject to experience
  • Candidates with experience in taking lead / sub lead role in design for M&E infrastructure such as metro and railways will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in executing design and construction project in BIM environment, and have good understanding on the use of BIM, REVIT, CAD etc.
  • Experience in the 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D and level of details (LODs) of 200, 300, 350 and 400 level of BIM execution.
  • Experience in conducting virtual coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Experience in system interface coordination exercises / multidiscipline interface.
  • Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure
  • Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineer, and provide guidance and sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Competence in Dialux, Hevacomp, Ricoda, Amptech/ ETAP.
