Job Description

The Associate Legal Counsel, SEA will oversee and manage all legal aspects within the technology industry, ensuring compliance and providing sound legal advice to the company. • Conduct proactive legal and regulatory compliance reviews for the company's Southeast Asia operations, focusing on high-growth sectors like Internet and FinTech.
• Assess and analyze legal risks within local and regional jurisdictions, providing thorough risk evaluations and tailored mitigation plans for projects and clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including cloud service contracts and related ancillary documents (Data Processing Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Pricing Addenda).
• Prepare and manage database software sales contracts.
• Handle procurement contracts related to marketing activities and operational needs.
• Draft and review partner channel agreements such as referral and reseller contracts.
• Review and prepare legal documents required for overseas project tender submissions.
• Manage the contract approval workflow for the Southeast Asia region.
• Offer daily legal advice and consultation to regional business teams on various legal matters.

• Possess at least 3 to 5 years of legal experience within technology related industries, specializing in contract law and data privacy, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Internet and FinTech sectors.
• Experienced in handling cross-border transactions and collaborations, demonstrating strong intercultural communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology-focused contracts, including software licensing, cloud database service agreements, and data processing contracts.
• Exceptionally organized and proactive, capable of managing competing priorities efficiently in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and/or other Southeast Asian languages (e.g., Malay, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai) would be a significant advantage.
