Associate Manager - Production

Location: Perai, Penang

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Manager - Production to support and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in coordinating production schedules, supervising shopfloor teams, managing resources, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, people-focused, and capable of solving operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Supervise and support production staff, including shift planning, performance guidance, and on-the-job training.
Allocate manpower, materials, and resources efficiently to meet production targets.
Manage operational budgets, purchase orders, and material availability in coordination with relevant teams.
Identify and resolve production issues, delays, or equipment-related problems to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production records, prepare status reports, and communicate progress to management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
Address production-related issues or disputes and escalate urgent matters to the Production Manager when required.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in manufacturing or production environments, preferably in roles such as Production Supervisor, Production Executive, or Assistant Production Manager.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced production setting.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including mass production or continuous production systems.
