Job Description

For the Associate Professor - Electrical and Electronic Engineering position at the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science, this search includes the sub-areas of generation, transmission, distribution, and utilisation of electric power, the electrical apparatus connected to such systems, hydrogen power and renewable energy. A relevant PhD from a recognised institution and registration with a professional body are required. Candidates with a professional qualification (PEng, IPEA/APEC Engineer) or those progressing towards the qualification are desirable. The candidates should have experience in teaching in higher education. The experience in fostering partnerships between academia and industry is an advantage. In addition, they should demonstrate proven track record of substantial research output and significant impact.Requirements:

• A relevant PhD from a recognised institution.
• Registration with a professional body such as Board of Engineers Malaysia is required.
• Professional qualification (PEng, IPEA/APEC Engineer) or those progressing towards the qualification are desirable.
• Having knowledge in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilisation of electric power, the electrical apparatus connected to such systems, hydrogen power and renewable energy.
• Having significant experience in teaching in higher education in a relevant discipline.
• Having experience in establishing and developing significant partnerships between academia and industry is an advantage.
• Proven track record of substantial high-quality research output with significant impact and leadership in research.
