ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / SENIOR LECTURER

FINANCE / ISLAMIC FINANCE SECTION, UNIKL BIS

KEY ROLES :

Conduct research, fieldwork, and investigations, and prepare comprehensive reports. Develop curricula and deliver engaging course materials. Travel to other universities or academic institutions to participate in learning opportunities and enhance professional experience. Publish research findings, attend conferences, deliver presentations, and network with peers in the field. Actively participate in committee, departmental, and faculty meetings. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to teaching assistants and junior lecturers. Review teaching methods and materials, and recommend improvements to enhance learning outcomes. Support student recruitment activities, including interviews and academic counselling sessions.

REQUIREMENTS :

PhD in Islamic Finance, Finance, or a any related field from a recognized university. Membership in relevant professional bodies is required. A minimum of 5-10 years of teaching experience, including the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as supervision of student projects and dissertations. A strong research track record, demonstrated through publications in reputable academic journals, conference participation, and research grant achievements. Proven experience in designing and implementing new curricula as well as revising existing courses to meet academic standards and industry needs. Experience in supervising postgraduate students, including master's and doctoral candidates. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively. A solid understanding and passion for the subject matter, with a growth mindset and strong networking abilities. Ability to conduct independent research, manage resources effectively, and provide subject-related expertise and management advice to the faculty. Specialization in Islamic Finance is highly desirable.
