The Audit Manager is responsible for an Adviser Support Team, assigns and reviews work completed by team members, and provides support to develop capability among team members. They also continue to manage client relationships, proactively communicating with them to determine how our client can best meet their needs under the Family Office structure.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in Accounting
  • CA qualified or equivalent

Practical Experience:
  • 5 or more years of audit experience, with 3 years in professional services or a client service-oriented capacity

Clients:
  • Serve as the point of contact and proactively communicate with clients, developing a detailed understanding of their business to determine how Findex can best meet their needs
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing clients and contacts
  • Effectively manage client concerns and complaints as appropriate

Operations & Compliance:
  • Manage the planning of (or complete) audit engagements by identifying risks to determine the audit strategy, agreeing on the timetable, scheduling employees, and negotiating fees
  • Prepare and review business reports and management letters for clients, highlighting key issues and recommended actions
  • Ensure engagements are managed and completed effectively by meeting deadlines and staying within budget, while keeping the Audit Principal informed of any variances to the budget
  • Ensure all audit files are completed in line with the Findex Audit Methodology
  • Document (and conclude) complex accounting issues in line with relevant accounting/audit standards
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements

People Leadership:
  • Manage, coordinate, and delegate client work to team members with an appropriate level of capability in line with the Internal Audit Plan
  • Lead and develop a team of service-oriented staff, ensuring high standards of compliance
  • Take action to drive Findex initiatives to increase engagement and drive performance
  • Identify areas for further development within the team to build greater Audit capability
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Develop and empower team members to deliver exceptional service by conducting regular formal and informal performance reviews, training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Take action to drive Findex initiatives to increase engagement and drive performance
  • Identify areas for further development within the team to build greater Internal Audit capability

Business Growth:
  • Look for opportunities to broaden existing clients\' scope of work within the firm
  • Prepare fee estimates and proposals for new and potential clients with the aim of winning work
