Automation Engineer

Job description

This leading semiconductor manufacturer has operations all over the world. Due to their rapid expansion, they are looking to add an Automation Engineer to be based in Malacca.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer and modify existing and new moderately complex automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
• Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, and trouble-shooting guides for automated equipment/process.
• Should be willing to learn and enhance the skill in all type of Automation Equipment.
• Should be able to analyze and drive for permanent corrective actions.
• Understanding machine operating principle, consequence of wear and tear parts.
• Utilizing database, web application, and script programming technology to design & construct system solution for decision support and factory process control, based on user requirements from customers. Complying software process to ensure quality of applications.
• Interfacing with equipment / automation vendor, providing factory requirement, aligning functionality delivery and system integration architecture, and testing / qualifying equipment software.
• Executing projects to improve factory operation performance, including enterprise solution entitlement, equipment automation deployment, data collection, and manufacturing status monitoring in factory environment.
• Continuously drive innovation and improvement for automation strategy and process flow.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor (at minimum) / Master degree related to Engineering.
• 3 years of experience (Automation Engineering in Semiconductor manufacturing is a must).
• Experience in Project Management is highly advantageous.
• Familiar with PLC, Robotics, Electronics Wiring & Programming, mechanical design & automation systems, AGV, OHT development, integration with factory systems, etc.
