Job Description

Installation & Setup:

Install and commission automated equipment and control systems, ensuring proper integration with existing systems and infrastructure.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspection on automated equipment to ensure reliability and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot and repair automated systems, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and electrical components to restore functionality in case of failure.

Programming & Configuration:

Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other automation devices to optimize performance and meet production requirements. Work with software for troubleshooting and to improve automated control systems.

System Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions. Analyze production processes and recommend automation solutions to increase efficiency, productivity, and safety.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of repairs, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and upgrades. Generate maintenance reports and logs to track equipment performance, downtime, and improvements.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to address technical challenges and improve system performance. Provide support and training to operators and other staff regarding automated systems and equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PLC programming, robotics, etc.) are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an automation technician or related role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in PLC programming (Omron, Siemens, etc.), SCADA systems, and robotic systems (HIWIN, ABB, etc.). Strong understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, relay, solenoid valve and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with industrial automation tools and software.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly.

Communication Skills:

Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, operators, and supervisors. Ability to document work processes clearly and concisely.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 pounds). Ability to work in various environments (e.g., manufacturing floor, confined spaces, etc.) and handle exposure to different temperatures, noise levels, and hazards. Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods as required by the job.

Pay: RM3,516.19 - RM6,393.26 per month
