Job Description

Automation Technician: Automation technicians repair and maintain the computer-controlled systems (PLC) and electronics devices used within industrial and commercial facilities to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency. Their duties require knowledge of electronics, mechanics and computers. Automation technicians perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs. If a problem occurs, the technician needs to be able to troubleshoot the issue and determine if the problem is mechanical, electrical or from the computer systems controlling the process. : 1) Possess a deep understanding of Ethernet communication, Control Logic and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) 2) Knowledge in the areas of computers and electronics which relates to circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer software and hardware 3) Troubleshooting and implementing software changes to Allen Bradley Compact and ControlLogix 5000 platform of PLC\'s 4) Supporting new builds installations and modifications of process plant and machines. 5) Suggesting and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes, information and procedures 6) Developing controls, drawing and design concepts of human machine interface (HMI) using Aveva Wonderware Software. 7) Possess a deep understanding of PC hardware and software maintenance. Requirements: - Candidate must possess at least a Certificates or Diploma in Engineering (Electronic, Mechatronic, or Mechanical) or equivalent. - Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Wiring, Electrical Maintenance, Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) equivalent from manufacturing background. - Good troubleshooting skills on PLC & Instrumentation and able to understand wiring/loop drawings for Control & Instrumentation. - Good modification skill on PLC & HMI programming and software: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Aveva Wonderware - Good electrical skills, basic mechanical and pneumatic skills for - Plant & Process. - Required language(s): Able to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
