About the Department
The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today\'s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.
Job Responsibilities
The position reports directly to the Team Lead, AML/CFT Policy, Advisory, Sanctions and Training. The incumbent is to assist the Team Lead in the implementation of UOBM\'s Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) and Sanction Compliance Training framework, Procedures, programs, initiatives and activities in line with UOB Group\'s strategic direction, regulatory and global standards to ensure compliance with applicable local and Group\'s AML/CFT/Sanctions requirements.
The role involves developing training material on Compliance (including AML/CFT/Sanctions) related topics and collaboration with UOBM\'s Business and Support Units (BSU) in executing the relevant Compliance Training framework elements.
The incumbent\'s major job functions include:
1. Maintenance of Training Procedures
\xc2\xb7 Review and update Compliance Training procedures and AML/CFT/Sanctions Training Procedures on a regular basis
2) Secretariat of Compliance Education Advisory Committee (EAC)
\xc2\xb7 Coordinate the quarterly Compliance EAC meeting
\xc2\xb7 Facilitate meetings by issuing invitation to members, conducting the agenda, follow up on action items and producing minutes of meetings for subsequent EAC approval
3) Rolling out key Compliance Training programs
\xc2\xb7 Coordinating annual AML/CFT training for UOBM Senior Management
\xc2\xb7 Facilitating bankwide Annual AML/CFT/Sanctions e-learning refresher
\xc2\xb7 Facilitating quarterly training refreshers/updates for Business Compliance and Regulatory Assurance functions
\xc2\xb7 Curating and disseminating Monthly Compliance Digest to UOBM wide audience
\xc2\xb7 Developing Weekly Compliance briefing materials for UOBM frontline (e.g Channels/Branches)
4) Other Facilitation/Reporting Roles
\xc2\xb7 Coordinate annual AML Control Self-Assessment (AMLCSA) exercise for UOBM
\xc2\xb7 Compile and report quarterly numbers for AML Key Performance Indicators (AMLKPI) to AMLC and ORMC.
\xc2\xb7 Complete any ad hoc assignments assigned by the Team Lead/ Head.
