  • Finance Change Delivery supports transformation activities within Global Finance.
  • The purpose of the role is to primarily work on Finance Data Service related initiatives impacting Global Finance processes for both external disclosures and internal reporting. The role holder shall be involved in delivering Global Finances strategic ways of working.
  • The team operates on behalf of HSBC Global Finance and will be based in Malaysia.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
  • The jobholder will be responsible for the following:
  • Review, analyze and design a solution working closely with Global Program team to meet requirements of Countries on HUB (HSBC Universal Banking System) sites.
  • Work closely with business and upstream sources systems to ensure timely and accurate extraction of new data fields in to Google Cloud Platform
  • Ensure all Data controls specified in the FotC program are adhered to.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT) on system enhancements. Liaise with IT to ensure issues identified during UAT are either resolve or workaround solution identified.
  • Keep abreast of core upgrades or changes to HUB and other upstream source systems, analyze impact on Program.
  • The job holder is required to work in a highly regulated environment working with Financial Controls, internal and external auditors. Other key Stakeholder groups include Group Finance Operations Centers (GFOC), Global Process Owners, Finance COOs in Regions, Accounting Policy and Finance Sub Functions, Finance IT Teams.
  • Ensure all Data controls specified in the FDS program are adhered to.
  • Implement an improved control framework through the creation of streamlined processes, removal of manual intervention and implementation of automated controls.
  • Prepare system documentation and user manual and conduct user training when needed
  • Contribute and provide support to the GL Detail SDI technical go-live including opening balance conversion, P&L daily accummulation and upstream data completeness check.
RequirementsWhat you will need to succeed in the role
  • Minimum 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience on HUB standard interface (SDI) and extracts used by group regulatory (MIF) ideally in a Finance Change function or IT. The job holder should be able to identify data attributes and interpret logic currently set up in the HUB interface for these extracts.
  • Finance Project experience in working with HUB Data extracts with emphasis on meeting reporting requirements and addressing business problems.
  • Proven track record for adopting an inclusive approach, achieving consensus on action plans for resolving complex issues and ability to exercise independent and out of the box thinking.
  • Sound technical and process knowledge on Finance ledgers, Downstream systems, and related Data.
  • Ability to influence and manage global and regional stake holder relationships in leading change.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills across all media.
What additional skills will be good to have?
  • Sound technical knowledge on systems and data extractions, database solution by using SQL Queries, Stored Procedures programming on Microsoft SQL Server platform.
  • Good understanding on Google Cloud Platform and Big Query
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases and proficient in SQL programming.
  • Ability to influence and manage global and regional stake holder relationships in leading change.
