Salary Range: RM5,300 - RM8,600

About the Role
We are seeking a Backend Developer to join a Digital Banking team within a large-scale enterprise environment. This role focuses on backend application development, system integration, and production support for retail banking platforms. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs for digital banking applications
Implement business logic using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and SQL
Design, optimise, and maintain Oracle database components
Support system integration using SOAP and REST-based web services
Perform debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution in test and production environments
Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
Contribute to DevOps practices, automation, and system monitoring
Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
Requirements
3-5 years of hands-on backend development experience (Banking / Financial Services preferred)
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, and SQL
Solid experience with Oracle databases
Exposure to Linux / UNIX environments
Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Nice to Have
Experience with Apache Camel (CXF), Spring Batch
Knowledge of JavaScript, JSP, Unix scripting
Exposure to WebLogic or similar enterprise application servers
Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
