Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer Leader to lead our backend development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust PHP-based backend systems, while also managing and mentoring a team of developers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects.

Technical Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems using PHP (e.g. Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks). Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services. Optimize system performance, database queries, and server-side logic. Ensure best practices in coding standards, security, and system architecture. Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Team Leadership & Management

Manage, guide, and mentor backend development team members. Assign tasks, plan development timelines, and monitor project progress. Coordinate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Conduct technical reviews and support team members in problem-solving. Ensure effective communication within the development team.

System & Process Improvement

Participate in system planning, technical decision-making, and architecture discussions. Improve development workflows, documentation, and internal processes. Identify technical risks and propose effective solutions. Support deployment, debugging, and production issue resolution.

Requirements :

1. Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in PHP and modern PHP frameworks (Laravel preferred). Solid experience with MySQL / MariaDB and database optimization. Experience with API development and integration (REST, JSON). Familiarity with Linux server environments and deployment processes. Knowledge of version control systems (Git). Understanding of security best practices in backend development.

2. Leadership & Experience

Proven experience leading or managing a backend development team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to balance hands-on development with team management responsibilities. Good communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development, with 1 years in a leadership role.
