Backend Developer

Salary range:

RM6,000 - RM12,000

The Dune @ Light Grey, Sungai Buloh (free parking on-site)

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid, office hours 10.00am - 6.00pm

Role Summary

We are looking for a

Backend Developer

who enjoys working behind the scenes to make systems stable, secure, and efficient. In this role, you will be responsible for the

server-side logic, databases, and API layers

that power our products.

You will work closely with the

frontend, product, and infrastructure teams

to support applications used across different industries. If you like solving technical problems, designing clean APIs, and improving performance, you will enjoy this role.

Requirements

We are interested in people who are

hands-on, reliable, and take ownership

of their work.

Preferred background:

At least

2 to 3 years

of experience in

backend development

Strong experience with

Node.js

and frameworks such as

NestJS

Confident working with

SQL databases

, especially

MariaDB

and

PostgreSQL

Familiar with

API design

, integration, and

RESTful services

Comfortable using

Git

and standard version control workflows Attention to detail, especially regarding

data integrity, error handling, and security

Bonus:

Experience with database migration or moving systems from

MariaDB to PostgreSQL

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve

backend services and APIs

Design and manage

database schemas, queries, and relationships

Integrate backend systems with

internal and external services

Work with other teams to ensure

features are delivered correctly and on time

Monitor and improve

performance, stability, and security

of backend components Fix bugs, handle incidents, and contribute to longer term technical improvements Write and maintain

technical documentation

for services you build
