Job Description

We are seeking a Backend Developer SQL with strong expertise in SQL Server development and administration. The role involves building, optimizing, and maintaining backend database solutions while ensuring smooth performance across development and production environments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, T-SQL scripts, and ETL processes with SSIS, while also supporting database performance, migration, and integration. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend SQL Server databases for both development and production environments.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver efficient backend database solutions.
• Implement ETL workflows using SSIS and manage data migration, import/export processes.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Monitor and maintain database health, performance, and scheduled jobs.
• Implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies in line with company policies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for backend processes and database designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance and connectivity.
• Work with replication, mirroring, and clustering for high availability when required.
• Contribute to backend integration with applications and APIs.
• Adhere to Change and Problem Management processes for backend systems.
• (Advantageous) Automate tasks and enhance database operations using PowerShell.

• 4-6 years of experience in backend development with SQL Server databases.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database functions.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and backend scripts.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016 and above.
• Practical experience in SSIS for ETL and data transformation.
• Familiarity with backup strategies, recovery models, and database performance tuning.
• Understanding of indexing, query optimization, and execution plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Exposure to SSRS, replication, clustering, and mirroring is a plus.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is an advantage.
