We're looking for a

Backend Engineer

to design, build, and optimize APIs powering our web and mobile applications. The backend stack is primarily

Laravel

, supporting frontend apps built with React and React Native. You'll be responsible for developing secure, scalable, and performant APIs, while ensuring smooth integration with frontend teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain APIs using

Laravel (PHP)

. Build efficient data models, controllers, and middleware for scalable systems. Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure consistent API consumption. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Set up and maintain

CI/CD pipelines

for deployments. Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on backend best practices. Optimize database queries and ensure high API performance.

Who We're Seeking

Strong experience with

Laravel

(or similar PHP frameworks). Solid understanding of

REST API design

and integration. Familiarity with

TypeScript

is a plus (for better collaboration with frontend). Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL). Hands-on with

Git

and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to take ownership and work closely with cross-functional teams.
