Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver
interactive and engaging Bahasa Melayu lessons
that develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
Incorporate
cultural elements
into lessons to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of
Malay traditions, literature, and heritage
.
Use a variety of
teaching methods
, including discussions, storytelling, multimedia, games, and hands-on activities, to engage students effectively.
Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing
constructive feedback
to support their language development.
Encourage
active participation and communication in Bahasa Melayu
to build students' fluency and confidence.
Communicate effectively with
parents and guardians
regarding students' progress and achievements.
Collaborate with colleagues to
enhance the curriculum
and develop innovative teaching strategies.
Organize and participate in
school events, language competitions, cultural celebrations,
and other co-curricular activities related to Bahasa Melayu.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
in Bahasa Melayu, Malay Studies, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
Recognised
teaching qualification
(e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
Minimum
2 years of teaching experience
in a school setting.
Strong
classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
.
Experience teaching the
Cambridge curriculum
or international programmes is an advantage.
Passionate about
language education
and committed to engaging and inspiring students.
Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English
