Position: Corporate Action Asset Servicing Officer
Industry: Banking
Working Duration: 10 months contract (Till 30 July 2026 - Fixed)
Working Location: Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (WFO)
Working Day/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Salary: Basic up to RM 3,200 (Based on qualifications + experiences) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage
Job Purpose
The role involves managing the Corporate Action event creation process, including communication revisions, SWIFT notifications, and facilitating postings for Corporate Action or Proxy events.
Job Background / Context

• Requires knowledge in Asset Servicing, Corporate Action, and Proxy events.

• Ability to work during Malaysia Public Holidays and perform overtime if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Corporate Action event creation process.

• Revise communications, handle SWIFT notifications, and facilitate postings for Corporate Action or Proxy events.

• Review all Corporate Action/Proxy events and ensure detailed understanding of processing requirements.

• Liaise with relevant units and departments impacting clients on Corporate Action/Proxy items.

• Proactively reconcile instructions versus eligible holders and execute client votes.

• Research and resolve discrepancies within departmental standards.

• Review and update processes and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.

• Identify and report system gaps/enhancements.

• Participate in testing and successful implementation of new processes/systems.

• Escalate issues to management as required.

• Participate in cross-training and other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirement:

• 1-2 years relevant experience.

• Knowledge of multiple types of investment instruments including Equity Securities, Fixed Income, and Asset-Backed Securities.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word; Access is desirable).

• Proven success as a team player.

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
