Company Description Backdoor Bodega is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar located in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. The owner-operated bar started as a passion project by Shen, a clothing brand proprietor and cocktail enthusiast, and has since gained recognition as one of the city\'s top cocktail bars. Backdoor Bodega is known for its unique marketing gimmicks, including the sale of lapel pins in exchange for free cocktails, and its full-fledged webstore featuring collections of pins, apparel, and bottled cocktails that are delivered nationwide. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bar Staff member. The Bar Staff will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, handling cash, and training new staff when necessary. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills Previous experience in food and beverage service Experience with cash handling and basic math skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Food safety and/or bartender certification is a plus Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
