FabCafe Kuala Lumpur is part of the global FabCafe network that started in Tokyo in 2012. FabCafe is not just a cafe but a creative hub equipped with digital fabrication machines where creators create, meet and share knowledge and ideas over coffee and food.

As a barista in a creative space, we are looking for team members who can carry the creative vibe and culture of FabCafe.

Responsibilities:

1. Create a welcoming and friendly environment for every customer. Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments

2. Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards

3. Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods

4. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner

5. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures

6. Serve customers quickly and efficiently

7. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings

8. Properly handle and maintain all equipment

9. Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.

10. Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality

11. Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter

12. Observe relevant health and safety standards

13. Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality control

14. Always keep updated about the creative fabrication side of the business such as events that are happening, workshops etc, so you can answer and assist customers with any questions

Requirements:

1. Polite, friendly, patient, humorous and service oriented

2. Able to work in a high paced environment and under stressful conditions

3. Good command of English

4. Able to follow and execute directions

5. Strong ability to multitask and problem solve quickly

6. Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation

7. Initiative skills - the ability to assess a situation and take action without direction

No experience needed as training will be provided. A good attitude and willingness to learn is of utmost importance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
