About Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

The Golden Triangle neighborhood, Kuala Lumpur\xe2\x80\x99s thriving business and financial district, will soon see the opening of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences. The Hotel is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.

The latest addition to the city\xe2\x80\x99s dramatic skyline and a vibrant hub for both business and leisure travelers, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be conveniently located in close proximity to the city\xe2\x80\x99s major attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Often referred to as a \xe2\x80\x9ccity within a city,\xe2\x80\x9d the KLCC will offer designer shopping, fine dining, and the best of the city\xe2\x80\x99s electric nightlife. The Hotel will also overlook the KLCC Park and be directly connected to the esplanade, allowing guests to take full advantage of the Park\xe2\x80\x99s 50 acres of green space, including lush gardens, fountains, waterfalls, a wading pool, and jogging track.

An exciting addition to Kuala Lumpur\xe2\x80\x99s culinary scene, the Hotel will introduce several unique dining outlets to the city, including a Cantonese restaurant, lobby and rooftop pool bars, and an all-day dining restaurant with sweeping views of the Petronas Twin Towers.

The Hotel will also offer an executive lounge for business travelers, a serene spa, wellness-focused fitness centre and rooftop infinity pool offering panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur\xe2\x80\x99s endless skyline. BARTENDER

The Bartender is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Bartender assures each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. The Bartender provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service. The Bartender has a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensures that all the details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.

We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required. The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary. Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential. The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. The Bartender position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

\xc2\xb7 The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to handle all monies and keep a bank float from the hotel.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to requisition, pick up, verify, and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to offer guests of the lounge an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to develop a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, specialty drinks, etc.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to understand the menu and the daily specials as well as what is not available.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to check and recheck the bar during service.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to utilize the hotel\'s computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending, etc. of drinks.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to service all drinks for service bar area, guests and the bar area.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to ensure proper service of all food items to bar guests.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to keep the bar area neat and tidy at all times clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to ensure that the bar is stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completed.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to change ashtrays, serve cigarettes and wipe down bar area.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to answer telephones according to Four Seasons\' standards and take reservations or provide information regarding the lounge or any other hotel service.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to report any accident immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to handle a guest walk out.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

\xc2\xb7 Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
