Job Description

Core duties and responsibilities

Vehicle transport:

Operate a tow truck to pick up and transport broken-down, disabled, or accident-involved vehicles/motorcycles.

Vehicle assessment and securing:

Safely secure vehicles/motorcycles for transport using chains and straps, and determine the best course of action for moving a damaged vehicle.

Roadside assistance:

Perform basic mechanical tasks such as jump-starting a battery or changing a tire to help customers get back on the road.

Customer service:

Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, provide clear communication about the towing process, and handle any payments.

Logistics and routing:

Use GPS and local knowledge to plan efficient routes and ensure timely service.

Documentation:

Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as towing logs and service reports, and submit them to dispatch.

Vehicle maintenance:

Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on the tow truck and equipment, and report any mechanical issues.

Adherence to regulations:

Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocol
