Job Description

Project BIM Implementation

Lead the implementation of BIM processes on construction and engineering projects. Ensure all project teams follow the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), in line with client requirements. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to integrate BIM into all project phases.

Model Coordination & Clash Detection

Manage federated models from multiple disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, etc.). Conduct regular clash detection using tools like Navisworks or Solibri and facilitate resolution workshops. Track and manage issues using BIM collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC, etc.)

Construction Planning and Simulation (4D)

Integrate BIM with project schedules for 4D simulation and construction sequencing. Collaborate with planners to simulate site logistics, material laydown areas, etc. Support identification of construction risks and coordination issues before execution.

Data and Quantity Extraction (5D)

Support quantity take-offs and cost estimation using BIM models (5D BIM). Collaborate with quantity surveyors and estimators to verify data accuracy and consistency. Ensure the model is updated with procurement and installation data.

Standards Compliance & Quality Control

Ensure models adhere to ISO 19650, company BIM standards, and client specifications. Perform model audits and quality checks to maintain model integrity and usability. Maintain LOD (Level of Development) definitions appropriate to project stages.

BIM Execution & Documentation

Develop and manage the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and related documents (EIR, MIDP, TIDP). Coordinate Common Data Environment (CDE) usage across stakeholders. Provide regular progress reports on model status, coordination issues, and deliverables.

Training & Technical Support

Train project team members on BIM workflows and standards. Offer ongoing support for BIM tools (Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, etc.). Promote BIM best practices and drive digital adoption on-site and off-site.

As-Built and Handover

Manage the as-built modeling process during construction and ensure proper updates. Support the creation of COBie data or Asset Information Models (AIM) for facilities management (6D BIM). Coordinate digital handover documentation aligned with client O&M requirements.

Pay: Up to RM6,000.00 per month
