We invite high-calibre candidates to fill the following position in Malaysia.

Job Duties

• Responsible for BIM coordination activities including the audit, review and co-ordination of model information for project specific precincts and or disciplines.
• Implement the project specific standards set by the BIM Manager and work with the BIM Manager to define the DEMP including any applicable protocols/manuals.
• Carry out model validation checks, coordination reviews and liaise with Sub Consultants or Trades
• Run the Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Facilitate site wide model federation activities including hosted and linked information
• Connect DE to the on-site activities through the site management team
• Support the use of DE for site logistics and planning including making the model available to the design and construction teams (on a weekly basis) for the purposes of survey and set-out
• Extract data from the models to contribute and support project reporting
• Review and manage Coordination, Interface and constructability issues
• Collaborate and engage with all subcontractors to resolve issues and enforce the use of the BIM model in the production of Shop drawings
• Proactive, collaborative and respectful communications with the Client and their BIM consultant in relation to BIM deliverable
• Provide support to Design and Engineering Management Team and design consultants

Job Requirements

• Degree or above in Architectural Studies/ Building Studies/ Building Services Engineering or equivalent discipline
• A technical understanding of Civil & Structural and/or MEP discipline is preferred
• Minimum 5 years engineering project experience with minimum 3 years hands on BIM Coordination experience
• Proficient use of BIM technology including file interoperability and information exchange processes
• Hands-on BIM software / applications experiences preferable (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D, Fuzor)
• Understanding of project operational and functional inputs into the Digital Engineering process
• Perform clash analysis, construction simulation, exporting construction drawings, etc
• Advanced understanding of BIM processes and ability to develop this on new projects
• Understanding of International best practice standards BS1192/PAS1192 and ISO19650
