To work with the technology provider and project team to successfully commission the plant.
To organize the daily operations, maintenance, and servicing of the biogas plant & equipment.
To oversee employees, gas production, quality, and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely.
To liaise with Mill Manager to ensure sufficient feed stock (POME) for uninterrupted operations.
To hire, train and lead the employees.
To supervises team of operators and ensures personnel training is on track with required training and skill levels.
To monitor operating & maintenance cost and plant accounts.
To prepare plant annual budget.
To manage parts and supply inventories for the plant.
To review performance report and report to Manager - Renewable Energy & Senior Management on the corrective actions taken.
To improve gas production, assets utilization and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and meeting current related acts and regulations.
To set clear direction for the site for HSE, quality and productivity performance.
To stay up to date with latest technologies, best practices and concepts.
To ensure authority compliance for the plant.
To ensure plant's compliance towards external audits (MSPO, ISCC & Carbon Credits).
To perform other duties as and when is required by the Management.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical) or equivalent.
At least
2 year of working experience in biogas industry, power industry, palm oil mill
or related field is preferable.
Hands on experience / troubleshooting in electrical, control and / or mechanical maintenance works related to chillers, pumps, motors, blowers and biogas engines.
Experience in operation the manual & auto LV / MV Switching (11KV) and synchronizing is preferable.
Experience of handling LV shunt reactor and MV switching (11kV), FCLR and operating generator sets in parallel with the National Grid are an advantage.
Hand-on experience in troubleshoot of electronic sensors and measurements devices such pressure gauges, thermocouples and level switches is preferable.
Experience in any PLC controller system and inverters experience is preferable.
Being self-disciplined, quick learner and motivation to learn.
Experience in managing operating staff, dealing, and negotiating with contractors / suppliers is preferable.
Able to plan the preventive and predictive maintenance on Electrical & Mechanical equipment is preferable.
Experience in OSH management system is preferable.
Engineers with 2 - 3 years' experience in other industries are also welcome to apply.
