Job Description

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical installations up to 11kV, including switchgears, transformers, motors, MCC panels, and distribution systems. Carry out general electrical works and installation at site office Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure reliable and safe operations. Perform hands-on electrical works such as cable termination, fault-finding, equipment isolation, and repair/replacement of components. Conduct routine inspection, testing, and calibration of protection relays, circuit breakers, earthing systems, and other critical electrical assets. Support the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment. Act as the person-in-charge (PIC) for all 11kV electrical installations in compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, electrical codes, and safety standards applicable to oil & gas facilities. Prepare and maintain electrical records, logbooks, permits, and statutory reports. Liaise with authorities, auditors and inspectors during statutory inspections and audits. Enforce electrical safety rules and permit-to-work systems for high voltage operations. Lead electrical isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and energization/de-energization activities. Identify electrical hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective/preventive measures to maintain a safe working environment. Provide technical support during emergency situations, including power restoration and equipment breakdowns.

Job Requirements

Possess valid

Chargeman BO Certificate ( 11kV)

issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST). Minimum 2-5 years of relevant working experience in electrical operations & maintenance, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments. Strong hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repairing HV/LV electrical systems. Knowledge of electrical safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and industry best practices. On-call availability for emergency response and standby duty as required.
