Job Summary



Boilerman is responsible for operating and maintaining boiler to ensure continuous supply of steam with required pressure to production.

Key Accountabilities

1. Boiler

To operate firetube steam boiler to achieve the required operation parameters To ensure the quality of water supply by taking care of chemical treatment of boiler feed water To trouble shoot, perform minor repairs, and report abnormal issues found from daily inspection on boiler and its components including fuel and internal gas pipeline To manage relevant boiler spare parts and inventory

2. Steam System

To perform daily checking on all steam valves and steam traps and report abnormalities

3. Safety and Health

To prepare boiler and supervise maintenance for DOSH annual inspection and assist superior during the inspection To ensure overall safety at the boiler area and the boiler operation is in safe condition and compliance to Malaysian Laws

Other Responsibility

1. Improvement

To suggest and perform improvement projects on boiler operations by analyzing the recorded data from boiler parameters. To upkeep good housekeeping and continuously improve 5S at boiler area and boilerman house.

2. Wastewater Treatment Plant

To support Wastewater Treatment Plant by recording and reporting parameter results and abnormalities.

Requirements



SPM or higher.

Familiar with boiler requirements for operations and maintenance in accordance to Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (Act 139), Regulations 1970 and Regulations 2014.

Familiar on steam boiler JKKP inspection and maintenance works.
