Assist customers in finding books and recommend titles based on their preferences and needs.
Provide excellent, friendly, and professional service to walk-in and regular customers.
Handle membership registration and clearly explain member benefits.
2. Sales & Promotion
Promote ongoing promotions, new arrivals, and special deals to customers.
Assist in arranging promotional displays and point-of-sale materials.
Support and assist events and activities organized by PBG.
3. Inventory & Stock Handling
Receive, unpack, and arrange stock on shelves or promotional tables.
Ensure books are displayed neatly and restocked promptly.
Monitor low stock levels and update the store supervisor accordingly.
4. Cashiering & POS
Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
Issue receipts and manage returns or exchanges according to store policy.
5. Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, display areas, and cashier counter.
Ensure books are properly organized and categorized at all times.
6. Online Order Support
Assist the online team in handling online orders, including printing orders, picking, and packing.
7. Supervisor Assistance
Assist the store supervisor with daily operations and other assigned tasks.
Job Requirements:
Minimum SPM qualification in any field
At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service is preferred
Experience using cash registers or POS systems is required
Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English; proficiency in Mandarin is added advantage.
