About the Brand Manager Role:
An exciting Brand Manager job has just become available at one of the most respected FMCG firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this is a role for a marketer who is a leader in their field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with respective managers of Marketing and Sales team to ensure alignment with the market and HQ and integrated activities. Provide all the necessary input to the annual budgeting related to brand(s) equity
  • Work closely with Business Manager, Finance and zone marketing to track and monitor A&P spending. Allocate ATL and BTL funds effectively, monitor and evaluate the results
  • Translate brand strategies and objectives into brand product and packaging, trade and consumer engagement and launch to market execution. Lead the development of all elements of the marketing mix including new product and packaging, brand communication and strategies to strengthen brand equity and ensure alignment to brand positioning as defined by HQ
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitor\'s activities to identify opportunities and key issues to develop the most effective communication tools within the confines of legislation
To succeed in the Brand Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:
  • University degree (required)
  • Minimum of five years pf relevant managerial experience in the FMCG marketing functions
  • Good understanding of full marketing mix. Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic and determined to succeed in a challenging environment
  • Demonstrate judgement to define category development towards company goals
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
