Job Description

Job Scope: Construction Site Assistant Manager1. Site Coordination & Supervision



Assist the Site/Project Manager in day-to-day site operations. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor work progress to ensure it follows the schedule, method statements, and construction drawings. Conduct daily site inspections to check workmanship and quality.

2. Safety & Compliance



Ensure all work activities comply with safety regulations and company safety standards. Support the Safety Officer in enforcing safety rules and conducting toolbox meetings. Report and follow up on near-misses, incidents, and hazards.

3. Quality Control



Check materials delivered to site, ensuring they meet specifications and approved samples. Perform quality checks at each stage of construction (structural, architectural, M&E, etc.). Assist in resolving quality issues and coordinating rework when necessary.

4. Documentation & Reporting



Prepare daily site reports, manpower records, progress reports, and photo documentation. Assist in updating project timelines, checklists, and inspection forms. Maintain site documents such as drawings, permits, RFI (Request for Information), and material approvals.

5. Coordination with Stakeholders



Liaise with consultants, architects, engineers, and clients for site issues and inspections. Attend coordination meetings and follow up on site instructions. Communicate effectively with suppliers for delivery schedules and material planning.

6. Problem Solving & Site Support



Identify and report technical issues to the Site/Project Manager. Propose practical solutions for minor site challenges. Assist in sequencing work to avoid delays or conflicts between trades.

7. Resource & Material Management



Monitor material usage to reduce wastage and ensure timely replenishment. Assist in managing equipment and tools on site. Track manpower allocation and productivity.

8. Administrative Tasks



Support preparation of claims, variation orders, and site measurements. Ensure permits, licenses, and approvals required for site work are in place.

Key Skills Required



Knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and safety practices Strong communication and coordination skills Good problem-solving ability Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment Basic computer skills (MS Office, project tracking tools)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
