Business Analyst cum System Tester

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst cum System Tester. The ideal has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and hands-on experience in system or user acceptance testing (UAT).

Responsibilities & Duties

Business Analysis:


Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements. Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. Assist in developing business process models, user stories, and use cases. Support project planning and implementation by contributing to scope definition and impact analysis. Facilitate meetings between business users and technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Participate in solution design discussions to ensure business needs are met.

System Testing:


Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements. Conduct system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business and functional requirements. Document and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Work closely with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes. Ensure thorough documentation of test results and support audit and compliance reviews. Contribute to regression testing and quality assurance in agile or iterative development cycles.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business analysis and/or software/system testing. Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and testing processes. Experience writing business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, and test cases. Proficient in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and testing software. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
