POSITION SUMMARY:

The role is responsible for creating a Library and Inventory of Policy Contracts deployed into Hydro, and reviewing all Policy Contracts including clauses and reading it for errors before reformatting to the new document standard for layout.

Where a detailed business analysis is required, outlining duplication of clauses or incomplete paragraphs or enhancing wording for consistency across products especially pertaining to compliance or company policy, the BA is expected to discuss with relevant SMEs, facilitate conclusion and pursue decision to finalise the Policy contracts.

The role will also be involved in managing the communication with the vendor for deployment of policy contract templates and updating PMO on the progress of SIT, UAT, and system implementation for any initiatives to correct or enhance the Policy Library and Clause Inventory.

THE CORE JOB:

  • Analyze the business requirements, review with Supervisor and reformat the Policy contracts from old core to new core template.
  • Gather the clauses from old core, system, documents contracts, SME and review for duplication, read for errors and understand its use in relevance to the various products.
  • Work with vendor to ensure development of the policy outputs are completed promptly.
  • Maintain and update the project documentation for Policy Contract and Clause Inventory and library promptly and consistently.
  • Ensure all reformatted and reorganized contracts and clauses are reviewed and signed-off by respective underwriters.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making with stakeholders where there is feedback from the Sales force on missing clauses or new clauses or inefficiencies reported by Operations.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:
  • Currently studying for a Law degree or Insurance degree.
  • English proficiency is mandatory.
Other Requirements:
  • Good analytical skills and comprehension of legal language.
  • Possess the ability to act effectively at various levels of detail.
  • Work constructively with users and managers to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English.
  • Good knowledge of MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
