Group Transformation Center \xe2\x80\x93 Group Programmes is a global change practice driving change for our global business and functions by offering cost effective, flexible and outcome focused transformation. GTC-GP manages and implements change programmes and projects globally across HSBC. GTC-GP creates value for the customer and for the business by accelerating, orchestrating and delivering change. GTC-GP works with Global Businesses and Functions, to deliver change outcomes that help HSBC achieve its strategic priorities. The team brings in best of class execution skills and deliver at pace to achieve the desired business outcomes on large, complex, cross-Business and cross-Function projects as well as certain local regulatory initiatives. With its design led approach to change and to help translate business intent into clearly defined change outcomes, GTC-GP delivers transformation through:

  • Robust Business Analysis working with the business to conceptualize solutions/operating models
  • Change & Implementation activities to embed the change seamlessly and drive benefit realization
  • Program and Project management to drive momentum and deliver large scale changes ensuring quality and pace
  • Strong governance framework leveraging on enterprise PMO services
Overview of the role:
  • DBS Transformation Business Analysts shape and lead initiation activities and operating model definition and are at the center of how DBS Transformation delivers and embeds change working with our delivery partners.
  • Primarily, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing the analysis activity within one or more of the priority programmes.
  • Business Analysts often act as experts across multiple projects and programmes simultaneously, guiding the teams on their approach to Requirements Management and other analysis activity.
  • Business Analyst\xe2\x80\x99s will also oversee Change Management activities and Implementation Management focusing on accelerating benefits and minimizing risk during deployment.
  • Business Analysts will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programmes they work on.
  • They work closely with the Project Management Office Delivery directors and Practice Head to ensure analyst resources are utilized effectively and resource supply meets the needs of upcoming project demand
  • He/ She will be expected to adopt an agile and flexible approach to work and an outstanding level of professionalism and conduct.

Value Creation:

The job is a major point of contact with the business and IT. Business Analyst will work independently and should have a high level of flexibility to consult with the business at all levels. They will need to have the ability to work closely with and build good relationships with all delivery partners and with Global Functions. Business Analyst is expected to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, taking a lead analyst role in larger projects, directing all analyst activity.
  • Anticipates and manages stakeholder expectations, fostering open and honest communication; resolves stakeholder conflicts
  • Questions current state and facilitates stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Articulates or translates complex information in clear, meaningful and structured way to suit audience
  • An expert across multiple projects or programmes simultaneously, guiding the teams and conducts business research and analysis tasks as necessary.
Operational Performance:
  • Supports the business and functions in assessing current state operating model and translating strategy into target operating models
  • Utilises financial skills to develop a high level business case, considering investment and high level benefits
  • Architects complex, large-scale change solutions, detailing all elements of the change journey and audience impacts
  • Leads change implementation activities, and manages re-engineering of processes and provides detailed guidance on process design

  • Manages a cross-functional/cross-cultural team, endorses team engagement initiatives, learning and collaboration to build a sense of communit
  • Creates competitive environment to set high standards, encourages and supports continual improvements within
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Senior Business Analysts must demonstrate strong business knowledge and sound business sense, and stay abreast of the industry, business wise and technology wise.
  • Senior Business Analysts will often need gather requirements and agree designs across stakeholders, dealing with different interests and resolving disagreements and conflicts, and sometimes needing to challenge poor requirements and design decisions. They will often attend and lead these meetings or workshops with no Global Transformation supervision.
  • Senior Business Analysts need to be able to shape business requirements and solution designs that encompass all aspects of the delivery (customer, people, process, policy, technology - system, data, infrastructure, etc.). Often Business Analysts will work across multiple projects at the same time.
Knowledge:
  • Expert knowledge of Business Transformation Frameworks, Agile/ Scrum methodologies and best practice techniques
  • A thorough understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of Global Transformation,
  • Work independently without strong supervision
  • Ability to work in a non-structured environment (and bring structure to it)
  • Very strong knowledge of the external environment \xe2\x80\x93 regulatory, political, competitors etc.
  • Re-engineering knowledge, Advanced Business analysis, requirements gathering and design techniques
  • Advanced Change management and implementation management techniques and approaches
  • Dealing with uncertainty and changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities or risks
  • Language capabilities: Mandarin/ or Cantonese speaking is required.
Experience:
  • Expert knowledge of GT Business Transformation Frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
  • A thorough understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of Global Transformation,
  • Work independently without strong supervision
  • Ability to work in a non-structured environment (and bring structure to it);
  • Proven track record as an outstanding analyst or consultant,
  • Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise,
  • Extensive experience of using multiple analysis techniques in a change environment, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects,
  • Ability to shape high level or ambiguous problems / opportunities, being able to take an E2E view and look across a programme, how the requirements and analysis activity joins up
  • Dealing with uncertainty and changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities or risks
  • Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills,
  • Experience of managing large teams and resources located remotely,
  • Ability to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles,
  • Ability to take strategic decisions, operate at an executive level
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) - desirable
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt are an advantage
  • Adoption of an agile ways of working and flexible approach to work and an outstanding level of professionalism and conduct.
  • Experience with transformation changes Design & Initiation (D&I) is an advantage
  • Solid experience in Change and Implementation (C&I) processes, Plan and implement change intervention to enable smooth transition and Embed changes and transitioned to Business as usual, from requirements gathering, communications till training final user.
  • Experience with transformation changes Design & Initiation (D&I) is an advantage
  • Ability to manage and execute the project(s) assigned in an agile and flexible approach to ensure the best quality from a project execution perspective
