What will you be engaged in?
As our new City Business Manager, you will be responsible for the growth, operation and team management for SOCAR, for the Kuala Lumpur & Northern Selangor Region.

Business and Revenue Management

  • Fully own business budget & KPI to achieve company\'s revenue generation.
  • Manage all relevant activities with business operations such as pricing, member acquisition, relocation of fleet, etc.
  • Drive the GMV generation at City level via, strategy development, localised campaigns and events, partnerships development, together with the leads from HQ\'s Strategy & Marketing teams
Business Strategy and Fleet Optimisation
  • Analyse and evaluate market-historical data and opportunities to strategize between fleet model mix and growth
  • Monitor marketplace health via data analysis including continuously improving dashboards to understand context, analyse insights, and propose solutions to alleviate pain-points
  • Solve problems and improve efficiency to various metrics such as, but not limited to, member acquisition, frequency of the bookings, duration of the bookings, pricing, in a data-driven manner. Create a hypothesis with statistically significant data to build your proposal
  • Lead the potential City Expansion plan where targeted geographical location is (most of the time) within a reasonable distance from your City base. Including a high level Expansion Business case development
Secure and manage parking zones
  • Strategize and optimise parking locations in key areas
  • Securing parking lots for car-sharing spots (SOCAR-zones) based on local characteristics, urban infrastructure, customer demand
  • Select visible, accessible, convenient parking lots
  • Control and coordinate vehicle deployment activities heading to the secured location

  • Experience in car-sharing or similar service to run car rental sales and fleet management would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing staff, service contractors and other vendors
  • Experience setting up and executing service contracts
  • Excellent negotiation organisational skills
  • Able to assimilate data from multiple sources, organise the data and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Critical thinker for identifying issues and Creative mover for troubleshooting
