Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform growth strategies
Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, logistics, R&D) to develop tailored solutions for clients
Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring profitability and long-term success
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics for senior leadership
Identify product development or innovation opportunities based on client feedback and market demand
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and industry regulations in all business dealings
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Key Account Manager in food production
In-depth knowledge of the food production industry, including supply chains, seasonal demand, and regulatory standards
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and SQL software
Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field
Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and trade events
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with major retailers, food distributors, or foodservice companies
Understanding of certifications and compliance (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS, GFSI)
Familiarity with food innovation and new product development cycles
Strong data analysis and forecasting skills
