Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our Malaysia operations. This senior role primarily focuses on driving business growth through strategic planning, team leadership, and market expansion of our HRDC-affiliated corporate training programs with additional emphasis on workforce transformation services. Candidates with prior experience working on HRDC-related training programs will be given preference. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team while personally driving key enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage a team of Business Development Executives and Digital Marketing Specialists
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for HRDC-affiliated workforce transformation services
Set and monitor team performance targets, ensuring achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for team members
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions
Enterprise Sales & Account Management
Personally manage 20-30 strategic enterprise accounts with high revenue potential
Generate 25-40 qualified leads monthly through strategic partnerships and enterprise channels
Lead complex sales cycles for large-scale HRDC workforce transformation projects
Develop and present enterprise-level proposals for corporate training programs
Negotiate major contracts and strategic partnerships with corporate clients
Revenue & Performance Management
Achieve annual revenue targets of RM 500,000 - RM 1,500,000 through team and personal sales
Oversee pipeline management and forecasting for the entire Malaysia operation
Ensure team achievement of collective KPIs: 150+ qualified leads monthly, 30+ discovery calls weekly
Monitor and optimize sales processes, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs
Provide detailed performance reports to senior management and stakeholders
Client Relationship & Partnership Development
Build and maintain C-level relationships with key corporate clients
Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and retention rates across all accounts
Lead client success initiatives and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Establish thought leadership presence in Malaysian corporate training and workforce transformation market
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
5-7 years of senior sales or business development experience in B2B services
Required:
Experience with HRDC-affiliated training programs or corporate training industry
Proven track record of achieving significant revenue targets (RM 500K+ annually)
Leadership & Management Skills
Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams
Experience in strategic planning and market development
Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
Ability to inspire and motivate teams toward ambitious goals
Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management expertise
Technical & Industry Knowledge
Deep understanding of corporate training technologies and their business applications
Knowledge of HRDC workforce transformation trends and methodologies
Understanding of Malaysian corporate landscape and business culture

Established network of senior-level corporate contacts in Malaysia
What We OfferCompensation Package
Base Salary:
RM 7,000 per month (base) + significant performance incentives
Performance Incentives:
Sales commission structure with revenue multipliers and pool commission
