Job Description


Our client is an established chemical MNC (Europe) with manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru

Industry: Manufacturing of chemical products

5 days/week

Job Scope:

  • To manage and develop the relations with the customers, in line with the group policies. Collect and disseminate market information about the different products for the different plants.
  • To prepare the budgets and Operational plan, align the tactic with the group strategy, propose new development actions.
  • To set up a distribution network with the customer. Maintain good commercial relations with the agents / distributors. Extend the network to new areas.
  • To maintain and upgrade an organization to do correct metal hedging for the sales of final products of the different plants, with proper records and control in line with the group rules and instructions.
  • To organize in the planning and scheduling of the outgoing final products, in cooperation with the different product units, the warehouse, production and the labs, in line with specifications of the different products. Follow up of customer complain and non-conformities.
  • To follow up and ensure adequate control of debts collection from customers in cooperation with the different product units, in line with the group procedures and rules. Follow up and control of the credit limits of the customers in line with credit insurer.
  • To develop and train the sales team including to manage transportation and documentary obligations related with the transborder shipments of finished goods; ensure good relations with the relevant Authorities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Degree/MBA or equivalent in Chemistry/Engineering and /or Business Management.
Minimal experience of 5 years in the sales of chemical or metals related.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft office and database, knowledge of SAP.
Fluency in English is essential both oral and written.
Knowledge and experience in international trade and logistics.

Pro-active with ability to control the overall management of the sale force in planning and implementing Sales and Marketing Strategies.
Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding results and record.
