Business Development Manager (Partnership Focus)

Location:

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Remote/Home-based (Extensive domestic travel required across Malaysia)

Salary Range:

MYR 170,000 per annum (Negotiable, based on experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven

Business Development Manager

to lead our partnership and market expansion efforts in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in chemical or manufacturing sales who thrives on building long-term business relationships. The position requires

extensive domestic travel

to establish contracts, develop supplier and agent networks, and ensure compliance with our standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and expand markets and distribution channels for

water-based coatings

in Malaysia Define and execute effective

sales and business growth strategies

Manage

key accounts

, coordinate

logistics

, and oversee

after-sales support

Drive

pricing strategies

, lead

contract negotiations

, and ensure

timely payment collections

Conduct

market research and intelligence

on competitors, pricing trends, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with

cross-functional teams

including logistics, technical support, and regional business units to deliver customer success

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in

Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field

Minimum

3 years' experience

in manufacturing, chemical industry, or international trade sales

Fluent in Chinese and English

(Malay proficiency is an added advantage) Strong

communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Willingness to travel extensively (

50-70% of working time

) within Malaysia Knowledge of

manufacturing processes/chemical raw materials industry

is preferred Proficient in

Microsoft Office Suite

and

CRM systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM170,000.00 per year
