Job Description


Business Financial Controller Manage the day-to-day activities of the company\'s financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. Activities may include financial analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance, credit control, treasury functions, accounts payable and receivable, inventory and cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting. Responsibilities :

  • Maintain the company\'s book of accounts (General Ledger, Subsidiary Ledgers etc). Ensure the integrity of the books by complying with generally accepted accounting principles in Malaysia.
  • Prepare/submit all annual and monthly financial reports as required by local and corporate management as well as in compliance with statutory reporting requirements. Internal reports should include variance explanations as well as accounts analyses that will help management understand better the results of operations.
  • Develop/implement internal control procedures. Make sure that affiliate is in compliance with all internal control guidelines from Corporate.
  • Manage local taxation requirements that affect the company. Keep abreast of developments that may have an impact on the company.
  • To liaise with banks and negotiate and arrange for long and short-term facilities, and at the same time maintain cordial long-term relationship with such banks.
  • Liaise with both Internal and External auditors. Ensure that the conduct of internal and external audits is properly coordinated with local management and that all audit issues are cleared and implemented.
  • \xc2\xb7 Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Support Division Heads for new business development and contract management (entering new business relationships/contracts)
  • Establish and maintain internal process, procedures and controls which ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasts; avoid errors and surprises
  • Provide guidance on accounting matters to the Finance team
EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Holding ACCA certificates is an added advantage / MIA professional member
  • Experience more than 5 years in the managerial / senior executive position
  • English language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management.
  • Experience of change management and building engagement.
  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams.
  • \xc2\xb7 Perform any other duties or responsibilities that are assigned from time to time by his/her superiors.
  • Posses own car & valid driving license (willing to travel Kemaman and Kuala Lumpur)
Job Type: Permanent Salary: RM7,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Kemaman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
  • Business Controller: 5 years (Preferred)
Willingness to travel:
  • 100% (Preferred)
