Description Business Insights Analyst Serves as the business analyst for centralized and consolidated activities of the Business Insights team. Collects analyzes and reports actionable insights and recommendations in order to achieve growth targets, support corporate strategies and increase employee knowledge. Job responsibilities Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources / systems. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex industry and customer data sets in support of strategic and ad hoc requests. Under the guidance and direction of Business Insights leadership, supports the development of management level presentations and reporting of data-driven insights that lead to improvement in sales performance and realization of strategic goals across the enterprise. Supports large strategic projects during their lifecycle including gathering requirements, project planning, progress tracking, evaluation of success metrics and status reporting. Ensures ongoing department reporting related to competitor analysis, market modeling, pipeline / patent analysis and analysis of industry trends are current. Identifies opportunities to streamline / automate and efficiently produce information for ongoing requests. Supports the integration of data sets for more comprehensive customer and competitive insights. Promotes and contributes to a team environment by sharing successful ideas and reports with colleagues in order to further the groundwork for standardization and continuity of reports within the organization to drive credibility. Integral member of a positive, results orientated work environment while building partnerships through teamwork and communicating in an open, balanced and objective manner. Viewed as a positive change agent while demonstrating collaboration across the business. #LI-EM Qualifications What we\'re looking for BA/BS degree in a science or business related field, or equivalent related education and experience, plus moderate experience in a data analysis function, or equivalent education and experience with some data analysis experience preferred. Experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical industry preferred, or comparable experience in a related field of study. Experience working with sales data and /or business intelligence information preferred. Possesses a strong understanding of data organization / structure. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, web-based systems, voicemail, Email and Internet are necessary. Proficient Business Intelligence skills in Tableau, Business Objects, Qlikview, Oracle BI, MS Power BI, etc. are preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, analytical ability and demonstrated critical thinking skills are essential. Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, follow-up, and coordinated multiple assignments simultaneously. Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment are essential.
