Role Overview

This dual-role appointment combines teaching excellence with academic leadership. The incumbent will deliver high-quality teaching in Business and Economics while providing strategic leadership as the Head of School. The role requires balancing classroom engagement, curriculum development, and student mentoring with the broader responsibilities of school management, staff development, and institutional growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Lecturer (Economics)

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and workshops in Business, Economics, and related subjects. Develop course materials, assessments, lesson plans, and teaching aids in line with MQA standards. Supervise student projects, industrial training, and research activities. Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students. Integrate case studies, industry practices, and digital learning tools to enhance teaching delivery.

As Head of School (Business & Economics)

Provide academic and strategic leadership for the School of Business & Economics. Oversee curriculum design, programme accreditation, and quality assurance. Lead and mentor academic staff to ensure high standards in teaching, research, and student engagement. Monitor and improve student performance, retention, and graduate employability. Foster research culture, publications, and industry-relevant projects within the School. Build partnerships with industry, professional bodies, and academic collaborators. Manage school resources, budget, and operations efficiently. Represent the School in accreditation visits, internal committees, and external academic forums.

Qualifications & Requirements

PhD in Economics / Business / Management (Master's with strong experience may be considered). Minimum 7 years of teaching experience in higher education, with a solid Economics background. Demonstrated academic leadership or management experience. Familiarity with MQA and MOHE requirements for programme accreditation and compliance. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Track record in research, publications, or consultancy is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
