Business System Analyst

Business System Analyst is a vital role within an organization that helps bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions. The primary responsibility of a BSA is to analyse an organization\'s business processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose and implement IT systems or software solutions to meet those needs.

What is your day to day?

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.

Design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of new or updated systems.

Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and risks.

Provide support and guidance to development teams during the implementation and testing phases.

Conduct user training and prepare system documentation and user guides.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during system implementation or operation.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to provide insights and recommendations for system improvements.

Participate in post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness and success of implemented systems.

Proactively manage and monitor access controls, ensuring compliance with security policies and guidelines.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Business System Analyst or a similar role.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Solid understanding of software development processes and project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).

Knowledge of database design and SQL.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Experience in facilitating meetings and workshops to gather requirements and drive consensus.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
