The Butcher plays a vital role in ensuring that our meat section is professionally operated, hygienic, and offers the highest standard of quality and freshness. The Butcher is responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and displaying meat and poultry products to the highest standards while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety regulations.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
Keeping records, budgets, and inventory.
Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
Negotiating and confirming orders with suppliers.
Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls.
Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.
Organise training proper handling, storage, and knowledge of different meat cuts, preparation techniques, and quality standards, and job rosters for Butcher Assistants.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
3-5 years' experience with deep knowledge of different meat cuts, preparation techniques, and quality standards
Good coordination, depth perception, and focus for precise and safe cutting
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations for meat handling, storage, and hygiene
Physically strong to lift heavy items, such as whole meat carcasses and ability to stand for extended periods
Familiar with operating and maintaining cutting and grinding equipment
A formal certificate in butchery or apprenticeship is valued.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
