To complement our team, we are looking for a customer-and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division at the Penang site as a

Buyer

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets. At Comet Group, we support the market-oriented divisions with central services. We work together today on the solutions for tomorrow. In close cooperation with our customers and always with high quality standards.

This is what you will do:

• Responsible for procurement of materials as well as continuous management of the MRP signals between Comet and Suppliers and to ensure timely uninterrupted materials availability per planning requirements
• Create Purchase Orders for direct materials per requirements driven by MRP
• Work with Planning to analyze planning requirements to ensure materials availability for production
• Communicate with Supply Chain/Materials Manager to review material deliveries to complete work order demands, as required
• Review non-compliance issues and order changes and work with Manufacturing Engineers and Supply Chain team members to schedule replacements or repairs

What you bring with you:

• Bachelor\'s Degree of Arts or Science or its equivalent with minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, SAP and Excel
• Teamwork approach includes working with Production, Planning, and Engineering to meet the business needs.
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written)
