1. Responsible for buying activities for duty free category 2. Merchandise Planning:
analyse customer buying patterns and predict future trends based on data (market, passenger profile, sales channel)
source targeted assortment from existing and new suppliers
negotiate on supply price to get a competitive price
review performance indicators (in terms of sales, discount levels, traffic and conversion rate)
3. Pricing and Sales Management\xef\xbc\x9a
manage product pricing
own product P&L, responsible for margin
plan promotional activities and work with Cabin Crew Department & Warehouse team to develop sale
4. Coordinate product training for new launch 5. Work closely with Marketing team for new product/menu launch or campaign for onboard & online channel 6. Vendor Management:
contract management: negotiate terms of contracts
maintain relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products
work closely with suppliers to expedite deliveries or to resolve issues
drive co-marketing initiatives, secure exclusive deals or collaboration opportunities with brand principal or supplier
7. Others:
periodic visit to warehouse to resolve defect issue or aging issue
periodic visit to duty free shop or duty free ecommerce platform to do market survey
develop routine and ad-hoc demand or related reports for management
Other Responsibilities:
Follow the company rules and regulations as stipulated in the Employee Handbook.
Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issue.
To perform any and all other assignments as directed or requested by Manager
Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and all other departments.
Attend scheduled training programmes as directed by company.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree in relevant field
Working experience in sourcing/purchase/retail in related categories.
Strong experience in sales & stock management.
Familiar with industry costs and strong demonstrated experience in price negotiations.
Excellent communications, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong sales analysis and forecasting capabilities
Proficient in Google Apps: Docs, Sheets (WPS / Excel), Slides, Forms
Preferably can communicate and write in English & Chinese
