Main purpose of the role will be to support in: \xef\x82\xa7 All aspects of ensuring the smooth running of the Community Cafe throughout the week \xef\x82\xa7 Providing a pleasant and friendly service to users of Crownway Community Centre & Cafe \xef\x82\xa7 Being an active member within a team of staff and volunteers \xef\x82\xa7 Preparing and cooking meals (e.g. breakfasts, jacket potatoes, salads, omelettes, toasted items, soups and desserts) \xef\x82\xa7 Making and serving hot and cold drinks \xef\x82\xa7 Taking orders, using a cash register and serving food \xef\x82\xa7 Washing dishes, clearing and wiping tables \xef\x82\xa7 Cleaning and tidying of kitchen and caf\xc3\xa9 area \xef\x82\xa7 Undertaking regular shopping trips \xef\x82\xa7 Assisting in the delivery of a weekly Luncheon Club; buffets, catering, parties etc. \xef\x82\xa7 Maintaining and adhering to all food hygiene standards / health and safety guidelines \xef\x82\xa7 Completion of relevant paperwork: Safer Food Better Business, Cleaning Schedule, Caf\xc3\xa9 Float, Stock Sheets etc. Other Duties \xef\x82\xa7 Communicate & build up a good working relationship with Centre partners, users, staff, volunteers and trustees \xef\x82\xa7 Attend Management Committee/network meetings when required \xef\x82\xa7 To undertake relevant training when necessary \xef\x82\xa7 To undertake any other duties commensurate with the status of the post as directed by the Management Committee.
