Job Description

We are seeking a Senior MEP Design Engineer to take a leadership role in our multidisciplinary design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design process for large-scale residential and commercial projects.
This position requires a seasoned expert who can deliver high-quality, energy-efficient, and cost-effective building systems. You will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, implementing sustainable innovations, and ensuring seamless project execution from concept through to completion.
Job Responsibilities

• Integrated System Design: Lead the comprehensive design of all MEP disciplines, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems, from the initial schematic phase through to detailed construction drawings for major residential and commercial developments.
• Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure all MEP designs strictly adhere to relevant codes and standards while championing energy efficiency and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical Clash Resolution: Utilize BIM coordination to proactively identify and resolve MEP pipeline clashes and integration issues with architectural and structural elements, ensuring a smooth construction process.
• On-Site Technical Control: Actively monitor on-site installation and progression, effectively controlling the rate of on-site changes to maintain project schedules and budget adherence.
• Cost Optimization: Strategically reduce per-square-meter MEP costs by optimizing system configurations and leading the selection of high-performance equipment, balancing initial investment with long-term operational savings.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Research, evaluate, and deploy cutting-edge green building technologies, such as ground-source heat pumps and Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) systems. Implement smart building solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user comfort.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for MEP design, facilitating effective communication and coordination with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to resolve complex design conflicts.

• Education: Bachelors degree or higher in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience within top-tier engineering design institutes or for top-20 real estate developers. Projects over 100,000m2 preferred.
• Technical Proficiency:

• Expert-level proficiency in BIM software, specifically Revit MEP.
• Advanced skills in energy and load simulation software.
• Deep understanding and practical application of international green building standards such as GB, LEED, and WELL.
• Cost & ROI Analysis: Strong cost sensitivity with proven knowledge of MEP equipment and system ROI (Return on Investment) cycles.
• Coordination Skills: Exceptional cross-disciplinary coordination skills with a proven ability to resolve conflicts between MEP systems and architectural/structural designs.
• Language Skills: Business-fluent English proficiency (both written and oral) is mandatory for this role.
