About the job Carbon Capture Storage Specialist / CCS Specialist
Responsibilities

• To provide and share expertise in developing a comprehensive strategy for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project implementation, including regulatory alignment, technology benchmarking, and stakeholder management.
• To lead and support the development of Conceptual Engineering Design (CEO) Verification and Front-end Engineering (FEED) for CCS projects, ensuring alignment with international best practices and fit-for-purpose industrial gas standards.
• To review and assess CCS project cost estimates, propose improvements, and guide the establishment of cost baselines that reflect realistic engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) expectations.
• To assist in the preparation of Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents for ccs techno logy providers and contractors, including Scope of Work (SOW), technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and project codes and standards to ensure technically sound and commercially competitive bids.
• To support the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for engaging engineering consultants for CCS projects, including evaluation criteria and technical scopes.
• To support ccs Project Managers in being part of fit-for-purpose project management team structure and project execution strategy, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of CCS infrastructure.
• To coordinate across internal departments (e.g., engineering, operations, commercial, legal, HSE) to ensure integrated delivery of all requirements for the successful execution of CCS projects.

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of CCS project lifecycle, from conceptual design through FEED, EPCC, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for CCS projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
