As a Cash Equities Operations Analyst, you will support post trade processing activities throughout the whole trade settlement cycle. Your roles include trade confirmation, reconciliation, client monies handling, trade matching, settlement and managing client and regulatory reporting. You are responsible in making sure practices and controls are carried out in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, and to participate in system automation or enhancement project with the objective to improve processes and client experience. You\'ll be liaising with business, finance, technology, control partners, regional trade support team and external clients or their appointed agents such as custodians.

Job responsibilities:

  • Perform cash equities operational functions which include trade processing, clearing and settlement, securities borrowing and lending, client/ account data maintenance, accounting posting, transactional payment and receipts, dividend processing and management/ regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor and ensure smooth running of trade settlement cycle. Escalate and manage potential fail trade or failed trade reporting to relevant stakeholders including the regulators.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders/ counterparties such as regional trade support teams, business, regulator and custodian banks on post trade settlement and reporting matters.
  • Assist the development and maintenance of operational controls and business continuity plan to mitigate business and operational risk.
  • Adherence to the firm policies and standards, as well as regulatory rules and regulations at all times.
  • Provide exceptional client service. Demonstrate client centric mindset. Attend to queries from clients or counterparties in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage projects, intelligent automation targets and assignment from the Manager from time to time. Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and partners across the organization.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 1 year of financial industry experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office application especially Excel. Knowledge in any Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across various stakeholders or counterparties.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking in managing issue, and with strong problem-solving skill.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
